Representatives from the Office of the President yesterday August 13, 2024, visited Zone 6 (Pusiga, Garu and Tempane) of the Agenda 111 initiative. The team was led by Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare – Presidential Advisor on Health to the President of the Republic of Ghana together with the Parliamentary Candidate for Garu, Madam Georgina Lardi Azumah, Chiefs and Sub-Chiefs in Garu and a host of other distinguished personalities. The visit sought to assess the progress of work at the site, engage with the community and ensure that this vital healthcare infrastructure project remains on track.
Leading this distinguished group was Mr. Daniel Yeboah Kodie, Site Engineer. Mr Daniel Yeboah escorted dignitaries around the construction site, offering insights into the progress and some challenges faced at site during project implementation.
According to Dr. Nsiah Asare “this hospital project is critical for our community. It will enhance access to quality healthcare and improve the overall well-being of our citizens. The government has invested in these modern hospital facilities ensures that our people receive the care they deserve. I am personally pleased to see the progress made so far. The construction team has done commendable work.”
Dr. Nsiah Asare further pleaded with Chiefs to provide additional 5 acres of land to construct a 3-Storey Building to serve as an additional accommodation for Hospital staff once operations start. This in his view would serve as an incentive to newly posted health professionals to work in the district.
The Chiefs pledged to support, cooperate and mobilize community support for the contractor to be able to work smoothly and complete the project on time.
The Managing Director of Starry Company Limited, Alhaji Sa-Adu Misiri assured the distinguished team that work will be completed by October 2024 provided conditions remain favourable.
